RAF Recruitment – Air & Ground Steward

Job Description:

• Be a citizen of the United Kingdom or the Republic of Ireland, holder of dual UK/ other nationality or have been a Commonwealth citizen since birth.
• Be between 17.5 and 47 years old. (Must attest before 48th birthday).
• Be able to swim and be within the height range of 5ft 2″ to 6ft 6″.

Job Requirements:

• Swimming 100 metres.
• Treading water for 2 minutes.
• Getting out the pool at the deep end unaided and fully clothed.
• You must be physically fit to complete both initial and specialist training, and to do your role effectively. To check your fitness levels, we put every candidate through at least two separate fitness tests as part of the application process.

Qualification & Experience:

• Functional Skills Level 2 English and Maths or formal equivalent (If not held, Level 2 functional skills must be achieved prior to leaving Phase 1 Trg at RTS).
• At least 12 months currency, within the last 24 months, as qualified airline industry Cabin Crew.
• Cabin Crew Apprenticeship Level 3.
• City and Guilds Diploma in Air Cabin Crew Operations Level 2 – Including core elements: Introduction to Airline Aviation Operations.
• Health, Safety and Security.
• Airline Emergency Procedures. Crew Room Duties.
• Role of Cabin Crew (on- board), Preparation for employment as Air Cabin Crew.
