Job Description:

The Sales Assistant positively impacts customer growth, revenue and ensures store credit is maintained at the appropriate level through sales activities, account management and providing total customer satisfaction. The role helps manage profit by following established policies and procedures including, but not limited to, cash controls and order verifications. This position will have daily interactions with host store employees to ensure receipt of all credit turn-downs and customer conversions. The Sales Assistant accomplishes these in a way that is consistent with the RAC mission statement and core values.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide premier customer service to all customers to ensure all their customer needs have been addressed in a timely manner
  • Follow all policies and procedures and adhere to all standards
  • Complete appropriate paperwork to ensure customer receives merchandise and partnership store receives payment
  • Educate referred customers on price options, features, and/or benefits of rental agreement
  • Be responsible for Customer and Revenue growth/maintenance
  • Prospect for new business by telemarketing
  • Review past due accounts and communicate in-person and via phone with the customers to promote timely payments
  • Collect customer payments on a timely basis and meet monthly collection standards
  • Maintain accurate records of customer account activity, to include current and past due accounts
  • Close sales cycle by converting referred customers to rent-to-own agreements
  • Be responsible for revenue growth/maintenance

Job Requirements:

  • Valid state driver’s license and good driving record
  • Must be at least 19 years of age
  • High school diploma or GED
  • 1 – 3 years of retail/customer service experience (sales and collections experience is a plus)
