Job Description:
This role will focus daily on providing and enacting solutions to ensure RCG is the partner of choice for destinations. The successful candidate will have a broad base of knowledge and a desire to learn and master, contract negotiation, government relations, financial planning and analysis, research, and project management. The candidate should have an entrepreneurial mindset and approach towards solving current and future business challenges, thrive in ambiguous environments, effectively manage competing priorities and exhibit strong written and verbal communication skills to communicate effectively with a wide range of individuals and companies, including RCG and government executives. This position reports to the Director, West Coast, Alaska and California, and will support the entire West Coast team. The ideal candidate will speak English and Spanish. The position will travel between Alaska, California, Mexico and, Miami regularly as business requires.
Job Responsibilities:
- Exhibit the ability to listen, and propose solutions, to better the reputation of RCG positioning the Company as an organization that is easy to do business with, who listens, understands, and helps partner in the destinations our ships and guests call at.
- Support Destination Development Director and step in for both internal and external meetings as needed.
- Travel, meet, and engage local and national governments as required. Visit and build relationships with key stakeholders within the destinations to listen, understand and respond to the challenges that exist, seeking and providing solutions.
- Interact with various internal stakeholders to develop and advance projects, including but not limited to: legal, deployment, financial review team (accounting, corporate capital, strategy, and treasury), government relations, destination development communication, and product development.
- Utilize written, verbal, and visual communication strategies to distil information and clearly communicate project vision to both internal and external stakeholders with a goal of creating consensus among the stakeholders with an emphasis on written memos and PowerPoint presentations.
- Work closely alongside brand and shared-service leadership to determine business needs and how Destination
- Development can help advance the collective vision of the Company.
Job Requirements:
- Must be able to facilitate meetings and solve problems.
- Outstanding oral and written communication, consensus building and presentation skills.
- Exercise excellent judgment and the ability to make recommendations to RCG and Joint Ventures.
- Ability to organize and manage complex processes with multiple entities is essential.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment with multiple projects and priorities.
- Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or board of directors.
- A global thinker who is familiar with different countries and different cultures is important.
- Initiative combined with creative and innovative entrepreneurial skills that allow the individual to identify, develop and implement opportunities.
- Ability to acquire new skills to meet evolving business needs.
- Apply strong analytical, financial, conceptual, planning, and strategic thinking to objectives and performance.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret financial reports, P&Ls, cash flow statements, balance statements, general business periodicals, contracts, legal documents and technical reports.
