Job Description:

  • You will combine analytical and commercial capabilities, a strong sense for the customer and a proven track record of supporting the delivery of complex, market-facing products and services to drive the development, enhancement and growth of our new and existing banking products. You will support and co-ordinate product / proposition management, customer experience and the delivery of an appropriate risk management and governance framework for banking products.  This role will predominantly be aligned to our Savings products and will play a key role in managing our financial services compensation scheme (FSCS) activities.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Support the ongoing management of FSCS including online content, control testing, compliance activity and issue resolution (data quality etc.)
  • Support change projects with IT/Change, Marketing, and Distribution functions within Sainsbury’s Bank and third party partners, to ensure smooth and timely delivery
  • Play an important role in supporting and contributing to regulatory change and compliance projects
  • Support the management of key product supplier relationships, such as network schemes, in the areas of business development, performance and supplier governance
  • Support the development of product strategy, co-ordinating activity across the banking team and wider business to enable the delivery of market-leading value propositions, outstanding customer experience and fair customer outcomes
  • Ensure product risk is monitored and managed appropriately within the product team including horizon scanning and engaging relevant risk / compliance teams
  • Represent the bank at relevant industry forums when required, e.g. Payments Council, UK Cards Association, UK
  • Finance and keep apprised of changes, ensuring relevant developments are widely disseminated and understood by relevant areas of the business
  • Support and co-ordinate activity towards providing key updates / papers to relevant committees

Job Requirements:

  • Highly commercial approach with strong analytical and problem-solving skills and a strong customer instinct
  • Data manipulation experience desirable (Excel, SQL, SAS etc.)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills – ability to communicate with impact and articulate complex data to a wide array of audiences
  • Track record of supporting delivery in complex environments; High level of resourcefulness and excellent organisational /program management skills
  • Strong influencing and relationship-building skills
  • Passion for delivering the best product/service to the customer

Qualification & Experience:

  • Experience in an analytical / commercial role within the financial services industry, preferably in banking
  • Experience in product management and governance in a fast-paced environment
