Job Description: The Buildings and Grounds Attendant will support San Diego Zoo Wildlife Alliance’s mission of saving species worldwide by keeping all assigned areas clean, sanitary, safe, and orderly. This position will report to the Buildings and Grounds Supervisor, Manager, and/or Senior Operations Manager. Job Responsibilities: Washes windows, cleans walls, blinds and furniture Cleans patios, walk ways, streets, and other public areas Performs minor and routine utility maintenance repairs Steam cleans and/or pressure washes bins, grounds, equipment and vehicles Loads debris and refuse on trucks Vacuums carpets and waxes floors using heavy equipment Operates trucks and/or carts used in cleaning operations Sorts recycled materials Cleans, maintains and restocks restrooms Cleans tables, chairs, benches, signs, umbrellas and awnings Polishes stainless steel and brass surfaces Cleans interiors of buildings Supports the management team and decisions Drains and cleans pools as needed Maintains cleanliness of tools, equipment and vehicles Empties and cleans trash/recycle containers Collects trash and debris Job Requirements: Working in a fast-paced, high volume diverse team environment· Safe work practices and policies Basic computer skills Multi-tasking and prioritizing Proper handling and usage of cleaning equipment and chemicals Performing heavy manual labor effectively Communicating effectively (verbal and written) Dealing tactfully and courteously with the public and employees Methods, materials and equipment used in grounds keeping and custodial work Safely operating power cleaning equipment and heavy equipment Excellent guest service skills Safely operating carts, small and large motor vehicles· Working in a diverse team environment and motivate others Completing work on schedule with minimal supervision Job Details: Company: San Diego Zoo Global Vacancy Type: Part Time Job Location: San Diego, CA, US Application Deadline: N/A Apply Here vacancyoptions.com
