Job Description: The Buildings and Grounds Attendant will support San Diego Zoo Wildlife Alliance’s mission of saving species worldwide by keeping all assigned areas clean, sanitary, safe, and orderly. This position will report to the Buildings and Grounds Supervisor, Manager, and/or Senior Operations Manager. Job Responsibilities: Follows the "Rules of Engagement" on a daily basis Empties and cleans trash/recycle containers Possesses good work ethics Maintains a high level of professionalism Collects trash and debris Sorts recycled materials Supports the management team and decisions Cleans patios, walk ways, streets, and other public areas Washes windows, cleans walls, blinds and furniture Operates trucks and/or carts used in cleaning operations Cleans tables, chairs, benches, signs, umbrellas and awnings Maintains cleanliness of tools, equipment and vehicles Performs minor and routine utility maintenance repairs Cleans, maintains and restocks restrooms Polishes stainless steel and brass surfaces Steam cleans and/or pressure washes bins, grounds, equipment and vehicles Cleans interiors of buildings Consistently meets all of the organization and department’s performance standards Job Requirements: Basic computer skills Communicating effectively (verbal and written) Safe work practices and policies Methods, materials and equipment used in grounds keeping and custodial work Working in a fast-paced, high volume diverse team environment· Safely operating power cleaning equipment and heavy equipment Current valid California drivers’ license in good standing Following directions effectively Proper handling and usage of cleaning equipment and chemicals Excellent guest service skills Performing heavy manual labor effectively Dealing tactfully and courteously with the public and employees Multi-tasking and prioritizing Safely operating carts, small and large motor vehicles· Working in a diverse team environment and motivate others Completing work on schedule with minimal supervision Job Details: Company: San Diego Zoo Global Vacancy Type: Full Time Job Location: Escondido, CA, US Application Deadline: N/A Apply Here vacancyoptions.com
