Job Responsibilities:

  • Support the marketing team with filming and media events including the production of mailings, event check-ins, and serve as media/crew escort
  • Coordinate and publish content for park social channels as well as establish relationships with social influencers and bloggers
  • Develop and implement special events gauged to increase publicity and social awareness that will appeal to key target audiences
  • Develop and maintain effective media and community relations with key park contacts
  • Maintain and design the website content for both Magic Mountain and Hurricane Harbor
  • Handle strategic design of publicity and social programs for both Magic Mountain and Hurricane Harbor
  • Support the marketing team publicity efforts with global tourism

Job Requirements:

  • Experience in website design, including html experience and Adobe Photoshop
  • A four-year degree in Communications or Journalism is preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to build and maintain national and local media contacts
  • Excellent computer skills and experience using social media applications
  • Bilingual preferred — fluent in conversational Spanish & ability to read, write and translate formal Spanish
  • Ability to work weekends, holidays and flexible hours
  • Crisis management experience a plus
