Job Description:
As the Manager Cash Application, you are responsible for managing all aspects of the Cash Applications activities, including overall general supervision, policy and procedures, compliance, personnel training and development, performance measurement and appraisals. You will manage a team of specialists and will be responsible for delivering the highest quality of service as efficiently as possible, including managing in house cash application functions as well as credit card processing and invoice request activities while meeting financial, performance and quality goals. You must have the ability to work cross-functionally with other colleagues/departments and work cooperatively with all levels of the business including both internal and external partners and vendors. Job Responsibilities:
- Oversee Billtrust cash application to ensure optimal auto-cash processing and other process improvements
- Ensure compliance with PCI, existing SOPs and implement effective changes to further drive compliance and team performance
- Establish cash application and credit card processing functions
- Manage entire cash application process for Staples customers and other business units as directed
- Direct communication with all customer types for cash application and customer support purposes and with internal partners including Sales,
- Business Development, Customer Care, Customer Maintenance, and IT
- Enhance and implement cash application techniques and strategies with team
- Collaborate with Manager, Credit & Collections to improve cash application processes and credit card processing activities
- Leverage workflow tools to innovate and streamline internal processes
- Implement and execute cash and credit card reconciliations
- Manage credit adjudication process including credit application processing
- Manage credit card processing activities and invoice copy requests
Job Requirements:
- Bilingual work experience is an asset – fluent in English and French
- Knowledgeable of collections processes and customer support functions
- College diploma in finance, business, or related field
- Minimum 3 years of supervisory or management experience
- Preferred – Certified Credit Professional designation or enrolled in program
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a large B2B credit/collections and AR environment
- Familiar with collection software and practices
