Job Description:
As the Sr Manager, Fleet Services, you will oversee all aspects of the Service Delivery Operations across the country and will be responsible for driving performance in the categories of safety, engagement, quality of service and productivity. This role reports to the Director of Transportation and interacts closely with various departments such as fulfillment, customer care and sales with a goal of servicing and retaining customers.
Job Responsibilities:
- Works cross-functionally with other senior leaders requiring a high degree of communication and collaboration with the Call Centers, Fulfillment Center Managers and Sales teams.
- Partners with Health & Safety and Human Resources to proactively roll-out national safety curriculums and maintain satisfactory safety performance records with the Provincial Ministry of Transportation regulations.
- Ensure all deliveries to Staples Canada and Staples Professional customers are performed according to time, safety, efficiency and accuracy standards
- Ensure each SDO operates according to budgeted guidelines
- Work in concert with the senior management team in the implementation of processes and procedures to ensure continuous improvement in efficiencies
- Responsible for systematic changes/maintenance of information in TMS/WMS related to Fleet routes and coverage zones
- Coach and manage direct reports to high performance leadership standards, while recognizing individual and team successes
- Responsible for fleet asset decision requirements, specifically proper maintenance curriculum adopted by teams and asset
- Manages the performance of the Staples Delivery Operation (SDO) leaders across the country in an efficient, cost effective, and safe manner while maintaining high customer satisfaction levels
- Collaborate with the Director of Delivery Operations for preparing and planning strategies to meet the SDO’s daily, weekly, and monthly customer service and financial goals
Job Requirements:
- Eagerness and ability to learn and absorb new information quickly
- Initiative to work with minimal instruction and direction
- Ability to obtain Ministry of Transportation (MOT) Certification when required
- Knowledge of personal computer applications
- Travel: up to 50% of the time
- Strong team based leadership, motivational, and development skills essential
- Demonstrated responsibility, maturity, and leadership ability
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Experience and working knowledge of transportation systems and processes, productivity standards, and technology
- Experience managing a high growth, multi-division, multi-million dollar company
- Computation/mathematical ability and reading comprehension of technical/financial materials and reports
- High school diploma or GED
- 6+ years work related experience
