Job Responsibilities:
- Analyze security issues, determine cause and impact, and identify the corrective action needed to eliminate and prevent the event from happening in the future.
- Actively engage with internal stakeholders and other relevant teams in cybersecurity to conduct holistic response management on identified vulnerabilities and remediation efforts.
- Identify, coordinate, track, and report remediation for high-risk vulnerabilities.
- Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to define reporting and metrics needs; share and present reporting and metrics to cybersecurity leadership.
- Provide stakeholders with advice and assistance in identifying false positives and cost-effective vulnerability remediation or mitigation solutions.
- Identify gaps and weaknesses with the vulnerability management program, make recommendations for improvement, and assist with developing and implementing approved improvement plans.
Job Requirements:
- Proficient in at least one programming language (Python, Java).
- Ability to work part-time at least 20-hours per week from date of hire – April 29th with the option to work full-time hours during spring break periods.
- Active enrollment in an accredited college or university pursuing a bachelor’s degree
- Targeted graduation date between December 2025 and June 2025
- Recommended (but not required) minimum cumulative Grade Point Average (GPA) of 3.0
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong relationship management and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to balance multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.
- Network security familiarity and/or direct experience.
- Experience with project leadership and execution.
- Ability to present ideas clearly and use information and data to influence others
- Familiarity with security technologies.
