The person who is successful in this role will have an ability to partner with many others – engineers, program managers, business stakeholders, executives and vendors to deliver. They will see technology as a building block which can be used to build and configure solutions to deliver business value.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Taking overall responsibility for refining the story through the process all the way to user acceptance, sprint demo, and production deployment.
  • Create architectural and system diagrams, flowcharts and models that illustrate the type of code needed.
  • Collaborating closely with all the other members of the team to take shared responsibility for the overall efforts that the team has committed to.
  • Taking responsibility for the quality of the software the developer produces.
  • Document each aspect of a system or application as a reference for future upgrades and maintenance
  • Demonstrated ability to understand complex Payroll, benefits & Compensation business process.
  • Develops software solutions to business problems on SAP & SuccessFactors technology platform.
  • Builds solutions that are secure, durable, scalable, flexible, and accessible and proactively mitigate against production support issues.
  • Lead engineering efforts from rapid prototypes to large-scale cloud native applications across Starbucks products.
  • Taking responsibility for estimating, planning, and managing all his/her own tasks and reporting on progress.
  • Understanding the business purpose of the story, KPIs, success criteria and defining and analyzing possible alternative ways of satisfying the business purpose of the story
  • Working directly with the Product Owner to clarify and further define the details of how the story should be implemented
  • Performs application configuration in support of solution delivery initiatives

Job Requirements:

  • Knowledge of Agile / Scrum methodologies
  • Understand development lifecycle and SCRUM methodology
  • Ability to support enterprise business applications and integrated system environments.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and changing environment and deal with ambiguity.
  • SuccessFactors Employee Central Payroll, Compensation Certification
  • 5+ years of relevant SAP & SuccessFactors Payroll, compensation, benefits (hands on) experience
  • Good understanding of human capital management (HCM) technology platforms and applications
  • Ability to influence and coordinate the efforts of others and drive consensus across a diverse group of functional, technical, and business resources with conflicting or competing priorities.
  • Ability to negotiate priorities, approach, designs and ideas with team members and customers
  • Ability to work with process owners to identify information technology solutions that enable business process improvements
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
