As a Senior Social Media Strategic Planner, you will lead how we embrace customer opportunity, both in shaping the future social experience as well as the development of campaigns that delight communities and create connection to our brand. You are an inspiring communicator, ready to direct strategic research initiatives, and work independently and with ease across large cross-functional teams with purpose in mind.
Job Responsibilities:
- Partner closely – and often autonomously — with social campaign strategy and campaign management, creative, and brand marketing teams to provide feedback and assist in the creation of seasonal marketing/social briefs, key campaign concepts, and creative work.
- Serve as lead brainstorm and work session facilitator for social ideation and cross-functional projects to grow the brand’s role in culture, providing guidance and coaching to team members as needed.
- Develop and own key customer and cultural insights to inform Starbucks marketing and social campaigns ensuring recommended positioning will resonate with the customer, elevate our brand promise, and meet business objectives.
- Manage but also evolve our social-first campaign process – through methodology and ways of work – to ensure goals of innovation, learning, and engagement are achieved
- Integrate key learnings into campaign development, allowing for new thinking and testing that enhances brand perception and social’s impact.
- Develop new social thought leadership that actively inform critical business planning and decision-making – encompassing key customer and market challenges and opportunities.
Job Requirements:
- 5-10 years of experience as a strategic or brand planner at a digital agency or large brand. Social strategists with significant consumer research experience will also be considered.
- Ability to lead integration and work independently with large cross-functional teams, ensuring consistent quality throughout project work.
- Significant understanding of qualitative and quantitative research methods, and comfortable leading simple social listening analyses.
- Skilled at motivating and inspiring creative thinking across all teams, roles, and levels.
- Expert at designing research plans, and in synthesizing actionable insights from many data sources to serve as foundation of a marketing or social campaign.
- Ideate on and pitch new engaging brand moments built on consumer behavior, new trends, and experiential learnings.
