Job Description:
The Business Analyst is responsible for working with POS Product Owner and other Business Analysts to gather and document business requirements in support of our Global Point-Of-Sale (POS) system. The candidate must work in a fast-paced dynamic environment focused on Point of Sale technology and interaction with other facets of Subway’s ecosystem. They must define and develop user stories along with functional & data requirements, process flows/diagrams, and use cases. The applicant should also be able to create wireframes, interface designs, presentations, test scenarios, and training materials. The Business Analyst will be responsible for developing requirements and use cases in support of customer requested enhancements for the SubwayPOS product. The BA will work with stakeholders to make sure all SubwayPOS enhancements and new functionalities are documented. The Business Analyst will provide relevant acceptance test criteria and work closely with Developers, QE, and Support to ensure the delivery of best in class user experience. This individual must be a self-starter who has experience working in an Agile environment with good communications, who can work with global business stakeholders to understand business and technology needs in order to align initiatives appropriately into releases.
Job Responsibilities:
- Assist in Quality Assurance (QA) and usability testing. Partner with internal and external development partners in the creation of Acceptance Criteria to provide maximum coverage for our products and within our user groups
- Keep projects and products on track and deliver on time/budget. Track requirements via analysis and verification including
- Partner with stakeholders, especially development teams to understand, prioritize and estimate development resources required for new features in addition to the enhancement and bug fix work efforts
- Ensure production-ready products meet business and technical
- Elicit high-level requirements using interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, storyboards, surveys, business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, business analysis, competitive product analysis, task and workflow analysis, and/or viewpoints
- Lead and create deliverables for all aspects of business analysis and functional design for Subway initiatives. Activities include high-level requirements elicitation including BRD, functional specification creation including FRD, use cases, scenarios and visual model development for all groups who base their work on these including internal development, operations, and technical partners
- Represent requirements to internal and external groups using alternative views, such as analysis models (diagrams), prototypes, or scenarios, where appropriate
managing prioritization and change requests
Job Requirements:
- Strong technical background and significant experience with SDLC in an Agile environment
- Ability to anticipate risks and devise solutions in the moment
- Proficient with the Project and Portfolio Management Tools (TFS, JIRA, Visio, MS Project, Clarity, etc.)
- Preferred ANY of: PMI, SAFe Agile, Scrum certifications
- Skilled in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, ALM tools such as TFS or Jira
- In depth understanding of project management concepts
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering or other technical discipline or equivalent experience
- Understanding of software development lifecycles (i.e. Agile, SCRUM, Waterfall (PMBOK), Iterative)
- Comfortable with ambiguity, frequent change, or unpredictability
