Subway Employment – Master Scrum

Job Description:

Scrum Master will be responsible for ensuring that all activities assigned to the Scrum team are performed in a timely manner with minimal technical debt, while maintaining the highest quality of performance. The candidate will interface with client personnel and use oral and written communications skills to develop great working relationships with stakeholders. Candidate must have a deep technical understanding of Agile Software Development practices and experience delivering deployable software in short sprints.

Job Responsibilities:

• Participate proactively in developing and maintaining team standards, tools, and best practices. Identify and remove impediments, prevents distractions and other obstacles to success. Empower the team to self-organize
• Ensure the development teams are practicing the core agile principles of collaboration, prioritization, team accountability, and visibility
• Coach and mentor teams to identify efficiencies to improve our ability to release quality products early and often
• Coordinate system and project dependencies for releases
• Organize and facilitate project planning, daily stand-up meetings, reviews, retrospectives, sprint and release planning, demos and other Scrum-related meetings. Track and communicate team velocity and sprint/release progress. Maintain process documentation
• Understanding of backlog grooming, burn-down metrics, team velocity. Assist with prioritization and resolution of defects / bugs
• Serve as liaison between technical and non-technical departments. Communicate with other management, developers, product owners and technical support specialists on product issues

Job Requirements:

• Experience with developing and deploying software (Visual Studio, Team Foundation Server, JIRA Studio, test automation techniques and tools)
• Understanding of End-to-end design/development/delivery of software applications with highest quality/reliability through thorough
• Strong reporting skills
• Experience in system conversion and/or integration
• Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Administration or relational functional field/ equivalent experience
• Scrum Master Certification Preferred (or willing to get certified)
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including MS Project, Visio
