Job Description:
Tesco Maintenance are currently looking to recruit a qualified Multi-Skilled Technician to work as part of our bakery and catering Field Service Team. At Tesco, our stores couldn’t function without the support of our Maintenance Team. As part of the Bakery and Catering Team you will be delivering preventative maintenance on all our bakery and catering equipment in our stores to minimise breakdowns and also responding to reactive works across the Tesco estate, to reduce the impact on business in a prompt and cost-effective way. Ensuring the business can continue to deliver its promise of serving Britain’s shoppers a little better every day!
Job Responsibilities:
- Supporting managers to resolve customer issues.
- Delivering high maintenance standards across stores.
- Liaising with the in Store Technicians and updating them on status of maintenance work.
- Completing planned preventative maintenance and responding to reactive maintenance requests across the Tesco estate.
- Management van stock, usage and part replenishment.
- Following out Business Code of Conduct and always acting with integrity and due diligence.
- Being a custodian of Health and Safety.
- Working collaboratively with the National Operations Centre.
- Communicating with the team and the wider business.
Job Requirements:
- Knowledge of basic Risk Assessment processes and working safely.
- Good communication skills
- Apprenticeship in Mechanical or Electrical engineering/Armed forces Engineering, a minimum NVQ Level 2 Electrical or Mechanical engineering, or equivalent.
- Strong mechanical and electrical knowledge.
- Good problem-solving skills.
- Full UK driving licence.
- C&G Inspection & Testing or equivalent
- Experience working on bakery and catering experience.
- Experience working in a retail environment.
