Tiffany Internship – Maintenance Electrician

Job Responsibilities:

• Test and inspect the electrical components of all emergency and life safety systems to meet FM, NFPA, OSHA, and all agency standards and guidelines.
• Responsible for the completion of all project/fabrication work including electrical construction as assigned by Building Operations Supervisor.
• Responsible for the coordination of all tasks, the procurement of all necessary parts/supplies and the timely communication and follow-up with the customer/requester.
• Responsible for the electrical repair and maintenance of all process and building equipment.
• Communicate with outside vendors as needed for service support, parts supplies, etc. Support outside contractors scheduled to complete projects within the facility.
• Assist in the completion, implementation, and management of the Preventative Maintenance Program. Perform preventative maintenance on all process and building equipment in accordance with the Preventative Maintenance Program.

Qualification & Experience:

• Must have basic mechanical skills
• Able to work with contractors on various projects
• Minimum 10 years of experience in job related field
• Ability to solve problems (machinery, mechanical, electrical)
• Must possess a Rhode Island Journeyman’s License
• Must be flexible with work hours, including off-shift and weekends as needed
• Knowledge of Preventative maintenance programs
• Ability to read blue prints and wiring diagrams
• Possess strong communication skills, both verbal and written
• Experience in building wiring (lighting, receptacles, power circuits and panels)
• Experience in control power and wiring
• Must have good computer skills
• PLC experience a plus
• Experience using power tools and equipment
• Must possess strong electrical and trouble shooting skills
• Technical degree a plus
