Job Description: Toyota is looking for a passionate and highly motivated General Manager, Data Portfolio Owner to join our executive team of leaders. This exective position will be 100% remote with the expectation to travel to Plano, TX as needed. A primary responsibility of this role is to establish, evangelize, and execute a bold strategy to change the way the company thinks about the power of data and analytics. Another primary responsibility of this role will be to oversee data architecture, science, compliance & governance and management. Job Responsibilities: Design and implement integrated data roadmap for metadata, data design, data operations, and data services Develop a prioritized, multi-year roadmap to create new data solutions and drive measurable competitive advantage by ensuring the organization pursues the highest impact opportunities to work on. Implement and lead an enterprise data governance operating model to ensure consistent use and application of data to influence business decisions. Serve as a central point for prioritization of business-related data science projects, and be a resource of best practices for business-unit analytics teams. Incorporate multi-dimensional and cross-functional insights, including brand, product, consumer, and service taking an enterprise-wide perspective with a rigorous focus on financial impact. Leads global strategy and collaborates with GVP equivalent at TMC to do so Grow an R&D capability to quickly pilot and test emerging data science techniques and tools, syndicating learnings to the broader organization for deployment. Establish and help lead a global data governance practice to ensure TMC and its distributors around the world adhere to best in class practices for data governance, data management, and utilization. Serve as the strategic voice and visionary for data and analytics, ensuring data drives key strategic decisions and investment activities, by providing important transparency to leadership across the company. Collaborates with TMNA function in Washington D.C. to drive policy strategy; working closely with the GM of Federal Lobby Outreach Responsible for multiple domains including vehicle data and customer data. Job Requirements: Extensive years of experience and understanding of Toyota Ability to strategically communicate between business and technology teams Excellent written and oral communication skills Seasoned change management skills Ability to develop productive working relationships with a wide variety of teams and leaders Strong leadership skills Extensive relevant experience in enterprise data management and technical leadership Advanced degree or equivalent experience Strong understanding of trends within data management and analytics.
