Toyota Canada Inc. (TCI) currently has an exciting opportunity for an automotive enthusiast to support our Connected Technologies (CT) department. This is a permanent, full-time position, reporting to the Manager, Connected Technologies. The selected candidate will act as the Connected Technologies ambassador to drive enrolments and improve customer satisfaction by planning and developing training materials and knowledge resources. Ultimately, this individual will ensure organizational readiness & sustainment for internal stakeholders, Zones/Field Staff, and Toyota & Lexus Dealers in relation to Connected Technologies products/services. Direct contribution to Sales and After Sales business growth by providing Guests/Customers and Dealers with positive connected services experiences.

Job Responsibilities:

This position is responsible for the success of the training, field support and customer satisfaction aspects of Connected Technologies products and programs in the Canadian market:

  • Create Customer/Guest facing CT resource materials, including in-vehicle, smartphone app, marketing, how-to guides, and others, to provide exceptional CT customer experience and satisfaction
  • Act as point of escalation for Dealer concerns/issues
  • Collaborate with Customer Relations group to address Dealer issues relating to CT
  • Educate and communicate with Zones regarding latest developments and plans to drive improved Connected Technologies strategies with Dealers
  • Act as point of escalation for Dealer concerns/issues
  • Drive change, motivate and ensure organizational readiness and sustainment for all CT product launches, programs and initiatives by providing subject matter expertise and sound knowledge to internal and external stakeholders and customers (TCI departments, Zones/Field Staff, Dealers, Guests/Customers)
  • Act as CT ambassador with Toyota/Lexus Sales Divisions & Dealers to enact change, educate and drive enrolments
  • Collaborate with Customer Relations group to address Dealer issues relating to CT
  • Educate and communicate with Zones regarding latest developments and plans to drive improved Connected Technologies strategies with Dealers
  • Plan, develop, implement, and maintain CT internal, Dealer & Customer/Guest education programs, resource materials, and communications
  • Collaborate with Toyota University, Lexus Academy and RTMs to integrate CT knowledge and build subject matter expertise (Train-the-Trainer)

Job Requirements:

  • Ability to handle opposition in a professional manner while still maintaining productive relationships with stakeholders
  • Proven ability to initiate & improve work processes to increase efficiencies
  • University degree or equivalent (preferably in business, automotive studies, or related discipline)
  • At least 5 years automotive experience (preferably with a combination of sales, planning, after sales, cross functional, cross-affiliate and field experience)
  • Technical understanding of Connected Technologies products and services
  • Proven ability in partnering with business stakeholders (internal & external)
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Proven ability to be accountable for a program’s success and act as that program’s ambassador
  • Self-starter with excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Strong leadership, relationship-building, and influencing abilities
  • Bilingualism (French/English) an asset
  • Demonstrated understanding of PDCA principles
  • Flexibility in work schedule and ability to travel
