TRD is looking for a highly motivated and experienced Shop Supervisor in our Manufacturing Department.
The Manufacturing Shop Supervisor will lead, train and supervise CNC machine operators in daily responsibilities and procedure enforcement consisting but not limited to: required documentation, tool life maintenance, daily machine maintenance requirements, Q.C. adjustments, machine error tracking, etc.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and manage calibration and resource schedule to meet development deadlines with minimal supervision
  • Data collection, data analysis, and preparation of technical reports on a regular basis
  • Develop new procedures and tools for testing, data analysis, and calibration
  • Build successful relationships with related vehicle departments
  • Conduct vehicle testing and development under extreme environmental conditions (hot, cold, high altitude)
  • Execute engine control OBD and EFI development activities as a member of a diverse calibration team to meet requirements for North America and global markets
  • Complete engine calibration in accordance with procedures to meet regulations and other performance targets (emission, fuel economy, power, drivability and OBD)

Job Requirements:

  • Experience with MATLAB/Simulink/C/C++ programming languages
  • Experience leading a team/project and working well in a culturally diverse environment
  • Hands-on experience working on vehicles either through SAE (Society of Automotive Engineers), previous co-op or similar experience
  • Experience with Model-Based Design processes
  • Experience with other programming languages such as Python, VBA, etc.
  • Experience investigating technical issues and creating effective technical solutions
  • Excellent driving record (Required)
  • Self-motivated and responsible with willingness to work overtime to accomplish goals (up to 25%)
  • Knowledge of mechanical engineering principles along with analytical and problem-solving mindset
  • Experience in software management
  • Experience calibrating OBD for markets other than the US (Japan, Europe, China, etc.)
  • Experience in OBD or emission development (tailpipe, US Federal and California)
  • Thorough understanding of internal combustion engine theory/practice
  • A Bachelor’s Degree (or higher) in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
  • Experience in engine calibration
  • Understanding of OBD regulations for US and other markets
  • Advanced engineering degree Emission, bench, drivability or OBD calibration experience in hybrid powertrain
