TSB Vacancies – Assistant Finance Manager

Job Description:

Our Finance Operations Management (FOM) team plays an important role in executing effective oversight on Payments and Cash operational controls and ensuring customer and financial impacts are managed and controlled effectively.

The role holder plays an important role in delivering the Payments and Cash Operations control framework and ensure transactions are accurately reflected in financial information.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and post accounting adjustments
  • Manage work arounds and support application change requests
  • Preparation of month end attestation and support audit queries
  • Drive process and application framework improvements
  • Manage Payment applications reports using P4UK and tools such as SAS and MicroStrategy
  • Manage processes to identify and analyse exceptions to resolution
  • Liaise with Payments Operations to rectify customer position
  • Liaise with CIO and IT to raise incidents, manage and resolve related transactions

Job Requirements:

  • Team player – we pride ourselves on having a happy, high performing and highly engaged team
  • Great at communicating and building good relationships with internal, finance and non-finance stakeholders
  • Part qualified and studying towards an accountancy qualification (CIMA, ACCA), or qualified by experience
  • Good analytical skills and problem solving
  • Experience on MS office, advanced excel skills
  • Good systems and technical accounting knowledge
  • Functional knowledge about Payments scheme rules preferable
  • Experience on SAS, SQL and MicroStrategy preferable
