TVA Employment – Engineering Internship

Job Description:

The intern will develop an understanding of their assigned business unit, as it relates to its functional purpose and will learn standard work, strategies, philosophies, programs, and initiatives within the organization.

Job Responsibilities:

• Develop working knowledge of critical functions as outlined by the intern’s manager and business unit.
• Become familiar with the TVA business, organization, key decision makers, engineering processes and procedures. The intern will have the opportunity to interact with leaders and team members while learning the key components that drive their business unit’s strategic direction.
• Learn to apply policies and procedures across the organizations: recommend continuous improvement changes in support of business needs and proactively develop an understanding of policies, procedures, and culture and communicate these to new and existing employees

Job Requirements:

• Students must be pursuing a bachelor’s degree .
• Seeking majors in Environmental Science, Biology, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Occupational Safety & Health, or other similar closely related majors.
• Must have 30 semester hours completed
