Job Description:
Assist and support the Base Manager and Director in the supervision of the bases with over 2,000+ flight attendants. Ensure supervisors are equipped and prepared to support flight attendants in the operation. Manage and direct a team of supervisors providing coaching and support as they manage performance of the flight attendants. Assist in all areas of the operation and provide leadership to the staff.
Job Responsibilities:
- Lead investigations as required and ensure disciplinary timelines are met
- Oversee the Check-in office and the staff to ensure fully staffed aircraft and on-time departures resulting in meeting or exceeding reliability metric
- Manage performance and direct activities of a team of 4 – 6 supervisors coaching/counseling as necessary
- Participate in all phases of the operation to ensure divisional goals are met
- Support supervisors in administering coaching and counseling as needed to front line employees
- Hearing officer for work rule and non-termination performance grievances
- Oversee Charter operations
- Provide support as needed to front-line employees
- Support Inflight via communication, training and support to flight attendants
- Responsible for bid send requirements/bid award investigations, FAA manual compliance, return to work TSA requirements and manage the
- Transitional Duty program
- Investigate base and down line station delays
- Ensure delivery of Inflight and Marketing products determined by Inflight division
- Provide input into performance expectations and participate in performance reviews
- Liaison with station personnel for all issues relative to departures, misconnects, pre-boarding, late arrivals, etc.
Job Requirements:
- Effective time management, presentation, planning and organizational skills
- Strong written and oral communication skills – must be flexible and willing to work any shift in a 24/7 operation including nights weekends and holidays and must be willing to work Flight Attendant trips as required
- Previous expereince leading a team of individuals
- Required to attend Flight Attendant training to earn FAA certification if not currently FA qualified
- Equivalent work experience or 2-3 years previous inflight supervisory experience and/or equivalent work experience
- Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification
- Experience leading and influencing a team with solid conflict resolution and decision making capability
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship
- High School Diploma
