Job Responsibilities:
The Social Media Content Specialist is responsible for all social media strategy, content management, platform growth and interaction with audiences including driver, customer, and employees. This individual liaises with business partners on our Variant and Xpress Technologies teams and schedules/aligns content across all platforms. Attention to detail and accuracy is extremely important with this position.
- Complete all tasks as assigned and within expected deadlines.
- Strategize and collaborate with brand communications creative team to deliver high-engagement social media content that reflects U.S. Xpress, Variant and Xpress Technologies brand positioning, ensuring accuracy with subject matter experts. Distribute content for all platforms: Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, LinkedIn.
- Perform other related duties and assignments as required.
- Engage with followers and respond to comments/issues as appropriate. Steer conversations to areas that benefit both the audience and the company.
- Work in a collaborative environment to develop content of any assigned communications projects. Investigate, write competently and accurately, get approvals from appropriate subject matter experts and supervisors, and distribute final communication as necessary across applicable communication mediums.
- Track reach and engagement monthly. Deliver reports on competitor and industry trends and recommend how to utilize findings in planning.
- Establish and maintain cooperative relationships with cross-functional teams.
- Continuously develop strategies to grow audiences across all platforms.
- Research trends and best practices for all applicable social media outlets. Follow competitors and other industry feeds to know what topics are being discussed and promoted.

Qualification & Experience:
- 5-7 years of relevant experience
- Previous professional social media management required, with exceptional skill at the nuances of social media writing, including the use of hashtags, emojis and capitalizing on viral trends
- Experience in communications with a publicly traded company a plus
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, Marketing or in another related business field preferred
