Job Description:

In this role you will be working alongside the Marketing Strategy and Franchise Director, lead the development of go-to-market strategies that inform media planning, phasing and scaling; digital, retail activations, marketing campaign briefs, creative asset production, PR, media spend and strategy, partnerships and marketing operations (e.g. budgeting) in support of marketing initiatives across CPGP’s operating channels.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Partner with the global and international marketing teams to implement new systems for sharing assets to optimize use and minimize duplication
  • Partner with TWDC integrated marketing team to develop tailored OEB model for CPGP based around driving conversion with phasing, scaling and efficiency in spend across media channels
  • Establish the optimal phasing and scaling of marketing campaigns media spend and touch points to evaluate the tipping point for impact verses efficiency
  • Support a proactive and timely flow of CPGP marketing strategy detail across the CPGP team at regional, global and local level
  • Set and manage regular strategy and activation meetings, regionally and locally, with internal and external stakeholders, bringing meetings to resolution and managing diverse stakeholders
  • Communicate efficiently and effectively across the matrix of internal stakeholders including the wider marketing team, sharing strategies, best practice and approval of assets
  • Develop presentation materials and present to retailers/licensees/internal stakeholders as required
  • Ensure appropriate training is provided to team including pertinent legal training and ensure the team (as relevant) is operating within legal parameters
  • Develop clear and cohesive phasing and scaling with the aim of establishing x-media and Owned Earned Bought (OEB) parameters around campaigns, as appropriate
  • Drive alignment/control of licensee Central Marketing Fund (CMF) spend by establishing case studies on spend impact & efficiency The Walt Disney Company (TWDC) can have if given greater control
  • Manage relationship for CPGP with external consultant – setting out RACI at a regional and local level
  • Oversee marketing budget and resources to drive campaign effectiveness and ROI across owned and operated and third party retail channels within legal guidelines
  • Develop strong communication and platform evaluation to impact targeted audience(s) nuanced to local level and meeting revenue targets
  • Identify future consumer opportunities, shape product and develop experience demonstrating subject matter expertise around guest demographics, specific markets, guest segments and target audiences to achieve growth goals

Job Requirements:

  • Cultural sensitivity and an understanding of local markets across EMEA.
  • Understanding of multiple categories across consumer products as well as franchise awareness and brand integrity.
  • Ability to work proactively and with autonomy in a fast paced and ambiguous environment.
  • A confident communicator – able to deliver a compelling message to a varied group (internal and external).
  • High level of attention to detail.
  • Exceptional time planning and organisation skills.
  • Ability to understand and work within the legal guidelines provided by the legal department.
  • Degree level education in a related field or equivalent work experience in a similar role within an omni-channel retail business with an ability to navigate the EMEA CPGP business.
  • Experience understanding of market research techniques and analysis, able to represent the consumer perspective.
  • Demonstrable understanding of multiple categories across consumer products as well as franchise awareness and brand integrity.
