Job Description:

The Restaurant Field Support Specialist’s role is to protect the integrity of the Zaxby’s brand; evaluate and identify operational areas for improvement; make available the most recent changes, new procedures and the best evaluation techniques to the Licensee; visit all stores within region as frequently as possible for observations of operations and to build relationships with the Licensees; work with 1-2 target stores and conduct at least 1 operations review within each quarter.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Learn and implement lessons on Brand standards in the restaurant to meet food and restaurant safety standards
  • Learn and execute formal documentation process in a prompt and timely manner with little to no errors
  • Point out food safety and RER assessments with little to no error and create action steps with assistance on how to correct said issues at hand
  • Create trust and mutual accountability with licensees and management throughout the working relationship
  • Work with others on the team to ensure the licensee has the best information and contact at ZFL; ensure that important information from the licensee is brought back to ZFL appropriately
  • Communicate frequently with their Operations Consultant to better gather ideas on relevant stores issues
  • Offer basic support based on knowledge on ZFL communications and training materials
  • With some guidance, execute the agreed upon schedule of store visits to observe restaurant operations, provide feedback and partners in executing when appropriate for action planning
  • Maintain schedule to include time for consultations, administrative duties and meetings; keep calendar up to date on a weekly basis
  • With some direction, appropriately consult with the field (licensees and managers) to effectively show results for maintaining and improving store performance, and maintain the relationship through learning licensee and situational differences
  • Work as a team player with Licensees, Operations Consultants, and Operations Development Manager and appropriately addresses conflicts when needed
  • With guidance, learn appropriate communication skills to inspire actions needed to improve operations; learn when to perform shoulder to shoulder training

Job Requirements:

  • Ability to professionally document daily observations and conversations from visits
  • Current knowledge of applicable federal workplace health and safety regulations
  • Capable of performing basic math functions quickly and accurately
  • Advanced use of computer work station and Microsoft Office: Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint
  • Effective communication skills, in writing and verbally
  • Cooperative and work well in teams
  • Deal with multiple priorities; complete work despite many interruptions
  • Can work in a fast-paced environment
  • Must attain and maintain ServSafe certification
  • Experience: 1-2 years of related managerial experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Ability to meet schedules and timelines consistently
  • Able to work effectively and efficiently, independent of daily direct supervision
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business/Management preferred
